We participate in several events in the community throughout the year. Join us! Would you enjoy holding a leash? Helping to sell our wonderful t-shirts? Fielding questions? Volunteering at events is a fun and rewarding community experience.
Consider hosting a bake sale, organizing a raffle, or even a lemonade stand with your kids. The options are endless. Contact us so we can help you get the resources you need to create an amazing event.

Named for our beloved friend/volunteer, Ellen Eisen, who had the most calming way with traumatized rescues. Ellen would lay down low to the ground to help comfort a new arrival who was struggling following a 24 hour transport. Sadly, we lost Ellen in 2021, but her legacy lives on through comfort volunteers who help us welcome our new arrivals. That said, some dogs come off the truck with their tails wagging, ready for fun, while others need a bit more help adjusting. This is an extremely rewarding volunteer position. When we bring in dogs, we often need help getting the dogs ready to go their foster homes.
We have foster families located in various cities across the United States. Sometimes we need volunteers to drive dogs/cats to a "meet up" city to get them to their new foster homes. Additionally, we may need help transporting an animal to an emergency vet.
Provide love, care, and a home for one (or more!) of our dogs or cats until they are ready to find their family.
