Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch, Inc. will consider adoptive families only within driving distance. You must be willing to travel for your meet and greet and bring your new best friend back home with you. Our goal is to make the best rescue match, taking into consideration the rescue’s background and your family's needs. Every dog or cat is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs, and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a decision and are very careful about the placements we make.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a new family member into your home. Please take your time and put thought into filling out your application. We want to learn as much about you and your family as possible.
Your application will be reviewed by our devoted volunteers. If they have any questions or need further clarification, they will reach out to you directly.
Should your application be selected, a Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch, Inc. volunteer will contact you to schedule a phone interview. During the interview process, our volunteer will determine if this pet would be a good fit for your family and lifestyle. It’s also possible they could recommend a better fit for your family.
Once approved, a meet and greet will be scheduled at a neutral location. Meet and greets must include all family members (including your current dogs).
Our RRR Foster to Adopt Program is a breakthrough in adopting a family member. We take the pressure off of making a 12-year commitment following a 20-minute meet and greet.
With our program, an approved family can bring the dog home, spend real one-on-one time together, get to know one another, and then decide if you fit. It's like a trial. It's a grace period to enjoy your time together and then make an informed, experienced decision on next steps. And no one will take the dog from you. You get first dibs if you fall in love. And if it's not a fit, just hold tight, and we'll find a new family. Easy Peasy.
Because we have no facility, we ask that our fosters make themselves available to pick up on transport day. You'll provide a safe and loving place for them to "land" and to decompress when they arrive from their long journey to safety.
They're all temperament tested, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for parasites and will have been treated for fleas and ticks.
And best of all? You will have literally saved a life. Because you said yes, we pulled this soul to safety.
You'll be assigned a personal Foster Liaison, your go-to person for questions, concerns, guidance, etc. You'll never be alone or on your own. All supplies are provided, including a loaner crate.
So what do you have to lose, let's save a life together!
