Twig was a stray, found by a good Samaritan by the roadside in NJ. They brought her to the emergency vet, who contacted us and we happily to her on the find a forever home.
We don't know her prior experience, but she is a timid little girl who is learning to feel safe and to be social. She has no aggression at all, and once she knows you are safe, she is happy to cuddle with you and be near you. It took a while, but she is now ok with one of the foster's smaller dogs, but although friendly, she is still scared of the big guy. She needs to introduced gradually to other animals (and people), and once she is used to them, she feels more safe and doesn't hide. She does like to snuggle, but doesn't approach yet. If foster picks her up she is happy snuggling, and is fine when foster hands her off to a friend.
Twig sleeps in foster's room, and although she has free reign of the lower level, she mostly stays in her cat bed or foster's bed. She's very chill and just likes to hang out. Likes to be carried around with familiar people, and will sits on foster's lap while working. She LOVES food and treats, but not so much into toys just yet. She also loves to sit on your shoulder!
