Smudge was part of a litter of 8. The owner didn't spend much time with them and they weren't very socialized, so we took Smudge in to give them a shot at a loving forever home. She and her sister Tippy came to us together, and while they like each other and play together well, they really are not bonded (Tippy is also up for adoption, and can be adopted together with Smudge, or separately.)
Smudge is a little timid with people right now, but loves to play with her sister. She likes to chase ropes and string and ping pong balls. She loves to eat (although her waistline is trim!), and is very food motivated. She is not as adventurous as her sister Tippy, unless she thinks she's alone and then she becomes more fearless.
Foster has had her for about a week, and she's made good strides already. She wouldn't leave her enclosed area initially, but in only a week she explores the house, and is getting more acclimated to house life and people each day. They are pretty quiet in general, but at night they "talk" to each other to keep up with where the other is.
A quiet home will be best for Smudge, but she does well with other cats. She's a real sweetheart who is going to blossom once she is acclimated and well cared for - come meet her!!
