Meet Olaf - our beautiful CH snow kitty who is looking for a safe place to land that'll adore her shakey quirks and accept her in all of her snow white beauty. Olaf has mild Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which is a condition where the cerebellum, a part of the brain responsible for coordination, balance, and muscle control, is smaller than normal or underdeveloped. She is wobbly and needs a little soft support to move around in the world. A Good Samaritan found Olaf and her sister Elsa in a parking lot in Paterson and contacted rescue for assistance.
Olaf uses the litter box regularly. Olaf is less wobbly than her sister, and can do most things on her own. She currently eats Royal Canin Mother/Baby Wet food, as she is still in the process of becoming the big girl that she is! Olaf loves to play with Jingle bell balls, and she LOVES to crawl through the crinkle tunnels in her foster placement. Olaf also has a puppy bestie - Jerry! They spend a lot of time together and he tends to her grooming needs regularly.
On a lazy Sunday afternoon, Olaf snuggling on a warm lap or spending time with her foster pup sibling. Although Olaf tries to care for her kitten sister, she sometimes gets a little overwhelmed and overstimulated.
She is not yet spayed, but is up-to-date on vaccinations.
Additional information from her foster: Olaf has very mild CH. She requires no medical care for it. She occasionally has a head tremor and walks a bit clumsy at times. She is able to play jump eat and go in and out of her litter box independently. She sleeps draped over her sister whose condition is a little bit more pronounced.
