I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Legolas

We're happy to tell you that Legolas has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the pups currently available.

Legolas was part of a litter of 8.  The owner didn't spend much time with them and they weren't very socialized, so we took Legolas in to give them a shot at a loving forever home.  She and her sister Ripley came to us together, and while they like each other and play together well, they really are not bonded (Ripley is also up for adoption, and can be adopted together with Smudge, or separately.)

Legolas is a little timid with people right now, but loves to play with her sister.  She likes to chase ropes and string and jingle balls.  She loves to eat (although she is quite slender), and is very food motivated.  She is not very adventurous, unless she thinks she's alone and then she becomes more fearless. She also excepts pets once she feels fully comfortable with you!

She has been in foster for about a month while working on socialization, and she's made good strides already.  She wouldn't leave her enclosed area initially, but in only a week she explores the house, and is getting more acclimated to house life and people each day.  They are pretty quiet in general, but at feeding time there is some talking that goes on.

A quiet home will be best for Legolas, but she does well with other cats.  She's a has a very pleasant disposition and will thrive once she is acclimated and well cared for - come meet her!!
