It's hard to believe this gorgeous pair came from a horrible hoarding situation in south NJ. They were about 8 weeks when we got them, and their foster has made a world of difference in them. They are now socialized, playful and happy girls who love to play, play, play until they're worn out. They've gained confidence and have a whole new outlook. All that remains of their past is a bit of a startle reflex - they are sensitive to noises, outside activities that are loud, etc. We do fully expect that once they get comfortable living in a stable environment and they acclimate to the noises of everyday life, they will relax.

KIARA - is such a sweetheart! She really enjoys being petted and cuddled when she get sleepy, and would love to be able to sleep with her people. Kiara plays constantly with her sister, and they follow each other around. She has been known to "borrow" socks - she doesn't tear them up, she carries them around like tiny security blankies - sooo cute! Her special favorite is tummy rubs, and if you pet her when she's drowsy she will present her tummy to you for loves. Then she's all purrs.....
NALA - is super inquisitive, and the explorer of the two. She has to know what's going on all the time. She LOVES all toys - feathers, stuffed toys, everything. It's really fun to watch her with the laser pointer - she jumps as much as her little legs will let her to try to get at it! She will also take feathers and steal them under the couch. She loves those squeeze treats, and will drop everything when she sees one :).
The 2 sisters are an equal pair - one is not more dominant than the other. When they are sleepy, they only want to be snuggled and petted, especially Kiara. In the mornings, foster comes downstairs to a sprawling field of toys - the girls collect all the toys of the previous day that went missing or fell behind something, and start all over! they're most often together, and Nala will meow if she looses sight of Kiara, so we don't want to break up the bond. AND REMEMBER, 2 kitties are NOT twice the work - they amuse, entertain and comfort each other all day! AND you never have to feel bad when you need to go out and leave them, because you're never really leaving them alone!
What's their dream forever home? A house with kids and animals to play with, and lots of attention from their people to help them continue to socialize.
