Meet the Magnificent Zeus. This is a dog that people will come over to you and ask about - he’s stunning! Those eyes….! Zeus came from a high-kill shelter in KY and we fell in love and pulled him. Close personal friends there call him a “RRR Dog”, which means he's gentle and loving and gorgeous! AND, he's vaccinated, neutered, crate-trained and housebroken!!!
At 2 years old, he's very playful and affectionate. He loves to go on walks and run around the yard with his foster siblings, playing. He loves his stuffy toys, and tug of war. That being said, he's a pretty mellow guy who is easy-going and gentle. When he first got to the fosters, they were impressed on how he just let their dogs sniff him and check him out. Now they're all best buds!
Zeus is crate-trained, but it's really not needed as he is not destructive and completely housebroken. Sometimes he sleeps on the couch, the floor, he's really not particular. He's very gentle with people - loves to kiss and lick you, and takes treats so gently from hands. He shows no food aggression - he eats slowly and doesn't try to get in another dogs' food. He lays around in the kitchen when dinners being prepared just to be with you, but watch your pies on the counter - he can stand and jump over obstacles!! He's anxious to please and treats are the secret to training with him - he's a pretty smart boy. He knows his name, and he knows sit, and is very open to learning new things. In the evenings, he is with the "pack" in the LR - watching tv on the couch and getting snuggles. He just loves snuggles and belly rubs!
Zeus will do well with a nice sized fenced in yard and loves his walks. He LOVES companionship of another dog, and can be a great hiking buddy on leash. Any loving family works for him, whether they have kids or a couple with time and affection. He's good on a leash but it's a work in progress - he does pull just a little bit, so needs someone steady on their feet for now.
