I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Thor

We're happy to tell you that Thor has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Always wanted to get involved in Rescue? To save a life? Need a dose of “rewarding” in your life? Here's your chance to volunteer with an exceptional group @ Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch and LITERALLY save a life by fostering.

Do I even have to say it???? GORGEOUS!!!!

He really is just magnificent....

Thor is an owner surrender - his owner is moving and his new home has a dog Thor doesn't mesh with. Owner also recognizes he doesn't have the time he knows Thor deserves, so is heartbroken but doing the responsible thing, and will remain available for questions, etc…

Thor, at 6 years and 115 lbs, is a well trained and happy boy who loves 3 things: his people, his tug toys and running around their huge fenced-in yard like a banshee! He is a smart guy and knows many commands, such as: Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Stop, Paw, Come Here. He's a true people pleaser, so training is that much easier.

He is fine home alone and no need for a crate. He is a purebred GS, so he'll bark if he hears noise or a stranger approaches, like a good watchdog would. When a new person comes over, he runs to get his toy and show you, and prances around proudly. Then he'll come over and bump his tush on you to try to get some loves and pets:). He does not jump, and has no resource guarding or food aggression. He is completely housebroken and will come over and stare at you to go out. If you still don't get it, he'll sit on your foot;). He's great on a leash, and terrific in the car. When owner says "let's go for a ride in the car" he gets super excited and will even go grab his leash for you. Owner also said he calms down immediately when leashed - he knows he needs to be calm to go out. He's a smarty-pants!!!

In the evenings, you'll find Thor on the couch with his owner, literally watching TV. Owner says he watches the shows, and actually gets upset when he sees violence! (Awwww.). He sleeps with his owner at night.

Thor should be the only pet in the home, as he doesn't get along with some dogs, and hasn't been exposed to cats. He LOVES kids though, and follows them around the house when they come over. He can't quite figure out what they are....!? Thor is a wonderful boy, eager to please, healthy and loves to be around his people. A family with a fenced-in yard, some breed experience and some TIME to spend with him would be ideal. Come and meet him - the pics don't do him justice!

THOR IS ALLERGIC TO GRAIN.
