Hello! Meet the handsome Terry! Terry came into our rescue as an owner surrender, and the foster scooped him right up and gave him a safe haven. Terry is a sweet, gentle boy who bonds immediately with his caregivers and is ready to share his love with you!
Terry has dog and cat foster siblings, and is comfortable being around them, but isn't exactly playful. This is definitely a people-dog! This cutie will always be with you as you move about your house, and we mean EVERYWHERE! This Velcro pup will always be laying by your side on the couch or will be resting at your feet while you relax with your family. Be warned - he will want to come into the bathroom with you too! At night he sleeps in the living room with the other pups, so at least he won't crowd the bed.
He loves to play with balls the most - he will carry them around in his mouth and will paw at them when playing. He will play fetch as well, if you can get the ball away from him. He does well on the leash when going for walks, but is not a big fan of spending a lot of time outdoors. Even when using the yard to relieve himself, as soon as he is done he is ready to get back into his cozy home. He is also trained to use wee-wee pads, and will indicate when he has to go and is completely accident free in the household. He is not fond of the crate, so it would be best if he had a little more open space to be himself. Perhaps a baby gated room would be a safer way to keep him contained any time you are not at home.
He would be best with older kids because there are certain handling aspects of Terry that need to be taken into consideration. He did not love having his ears and whiskers handled during a grooming appointment, so older children who can understand those kinds of boundaries would definitely be preferable.
The striking this about this gorgeous boy is that he is extremely photogenic - just look at the pictures his foster shared for his profile! He is like a little Christmas model! Soooo cute!!
