I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Stumpy

We're happy to tell you that Stumpy has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

The foster and I agree:  He better get adopted quickly or we're gonna have a major fail!!!  He is ADORABLE!!!!

Stumpy and his short little legs came to us from a high-kill shelter in KY.  We are SOOOO happy he is safe with us now!  What a cutie - he loves to be carried and will sit on your shoulder like a parrot!  Our foster said she has had 50-60 pups to foster, and he is the easiest and most loving pup of them all.  He knows NO and is anxious to please.  We are guessing on his breed, but you never know!  More cuteness - his right ear sticks out like a wing all the time - it never goes down.  It's all part of his charm!!

Stumpy loves his toys, and is basically a toy hog.  He loves squeak toys and loves to play with the other dogs.  When a visitor comes, he runs up to to them and wants to be in their lap.  Foster had a first grader over and he ran over and sat in his lap.  He only barks to get his food, or if he can't get to you and wants your attention.  Stumpy has NO food aggression or aggression to any of foster's 4 dogs. He's getting used to his harness - it's new to him and is a work in progress.    He really loves people and makes friends quickly, human and otherwise.  He has to have contact with someone or something in order to sleep and feel comfy and safe.  He has good energy during the day, and actually puts himself to sleep when tired. Sometimes he sleeps with his foot in his mouth - it's a riot!   He does wee wee pads inside for now, but never seems to have accidents when he is with someone.  He loves to go outside and is very proud of himself when he does his biz, and is sure to show his foster what he did. (cracks us up!)Stumpy does NOT like to be alone very much, so a home where he is not alone all day is a key to success.
