Scooby and Gilmore came to us via an Alabama high-kill shelter, where they were surrendered. They were so adorable we had to pull them out and bring them North for a better chance at life.
Both boys are about 12 weeks and 16 lbs, and per the vet are a mix of Beagle and Shepherd, but we never really know...! They love to play together, and get along wonderfully with any dog they meet, even the big guys. Foster has multiple dogs in addition to these pups - they're older and not as active, but they all get along fine. They also go to work with their foster, and play with other dogs there as well. Scoobs and Gilmore take care of each other when alone, and certainly keep each other occupied.
SCOOBY - is the brown pup, and the more independent of the two. He the big explorer - checking everything out and going off on his own at times to explore. Most often they play together though, and Westlemania is the #1 game in town, with Capturing the Leaf a close second ;). One always wants whatever toy the other has, or frankly any excuse will do to start them running and chasing - they are SO fun to watch!!!. Scooby is a bit more shy and reserved of the pair - it takes him longer to get to know you, and he'll stand back a bit when he meets new people initially - but it doesn't last long.
GILMORE - is the black and white baby, and is a bit more dominant. Always the social butterfly, Gilmore is friendly and outgoing, and greets new people warmly, jumping to say hello and to solicit pets and attention. He LOVES to sit on their foster's lap in the evening, watching TV, with Scooby sitting right next to them.
Foster often walks them separately, as they are still learning and tend to play more than walk, but it's a work in progress. When she walks them, they are always looking back - watching their foster mom to make sure she's with them. They're just fine in car - they fall to sleep most of the time. They are currently learning No, Come, and Stay commands, and are doing well. They are completely crate-trained, and sleep well at night and in they day if someone steps out. They are active puppies, so an active family with an enclosed yard would be best for now.
