Scooby is a wonderful, happy, gorgeous dog who is very smart boy and anxious to please. When he was brought in for his initial vet check, we thought the vet might adopt him, he was so glowing! He's very easy to please - he's happy as long as he hears your voice and can be with you. He's extroverted and friendly, and loves to meet new dogs. He's initially a bit more shy with men, then once he's been petted he is fine - no aggression EVER. He does jump to say hello when someone new comes over, and his training on that is continuing. When someone comes over he does bark, but foster feels it is just because their other dog does.

Scooby loves to play with yarn balls. If there's no one to play with, he takes it in his mouth, flings it across the room, and runs after it! He's an 60lb automatic ball return! He needs some leash training, as he pulls a bit, and that is a work in progress. He does just fine in the car. He has never met a cat, and it is worth testing, but he does chase squirrels, so that is TBD. He's working on crate training, but doesn't like the crate in the daytime. He needs to get to a place where he knows the crate doesn't mean he is going to be stuck in there - this comes with time. Although he's a big goofy guy, he's very afraid of ........blow dryers! Not too fond of the vacuum either....

Scooby's best home will be with someone who has dog experience, and has time to finish his training, and has time to spend with him, whether that is at home, or taking Scoob with them - he wants to be your #1. He'd be great as a jogging or hiking buddy, and will do fine with another dog with similar energy.
