Sadie is one of two mini-Bernadoodles rescued from a Amish breeding farm in PA, where they were caged in horrible conditions and used badly. Both she and Elsie are available now, either together or separately. When she first arrived, she was matted and filthy. She had very little socialization but we're told she was the farmer's wife's favorite so she got a little more attention than the others. They both came to life when they got groomed and haven't stopped smiling since! The resilience is AMAZING! <P>
Sadie is a total love bug!! She's a big ol' flirt and loves to meet everyone. She's great on a leash, and only pulls to meet another dog on the trip. She is learning what is expected when she has walks though - she adjusts quickly and loves treats so she's very trainable. Sadie loves her crate and it is her safe spot. It's kind of surprising considering her background, but foster leaves the crate door open in the day and she goes in whenever she chooses to feel safe and cozy. Sadie is wee wee pad trained at this time and she's progressing nicely. <p>
Sadie loves to be with you, and she'll follow you around the house. When snuggling, she likes to be held like a baby, which I'd love to see a picture of! She's super sweet and gentle, and getting more social every day. She's a curious and friendly little social butterfly who loves making new friends! When foster had company, she was a bit shy at first, by the end of the day she was eating it up! She loves to be petted and have attention. <p>
We would love to see Sadie with a family and kids, and with another dog - she thrives on companionship. It would be great if they were home in the day, but ok if not. <p>
