Meet Rex, our gorgeous and beloved gentle giant rescued from KY, who is breaking hearts in foster care. He was hand picked for us because of his friendly, happy nature and is doing so well in foster care - playful (loves playing fetch), loves walks, and loves making friends! He TRYS to play with fosters' pug and absolutely ADORES kids. He is a super sweet pup who loves to snuggle on the couch and loves being with people most of all.
Rex is sleeping 8 hours a night in a crate next to foster's daughter's bed and doesn't get up unless he needs to go outside! Foster says they are already seeing how trainable he is, and have already started teaching him sit, stay, lay, come and paw. He is also learning to walk on a leash and he is doing well - not reactive and doesn't pull much. When another dog comes by he is interested but doesn't get rowdy - foster is comfortable having her 13 yo daughter walk him by herself. Rex loves his toys - balls, ropes, chew toys, you name it! He loves being outside, and sitting on the patio with mom while she works. He sits on the chair next to her and watches (see profile pic!). When visitors come he thinks everyone is there to see him, and he'll come and greet you and wait for pets. He doesn't bark very much, and loves to be in the middle of things. He loves the car - its a big adventure!
Rex is a terrific family dog, easy to train (he loves his treats!) and happy healthy handsome young dog. To meet him is to love him, so...
