I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Prince Harry

We're happy to tell you that Prince Harry has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

It is our pleasure to introduce to you His Royal Highness, Prince Harry! Prince Harry is a rescue that came to us from Lancaster, PA. He was rescued with two other dogs and brought into our all-foster rescue in northern New Jersey.

Prince Harry would do great in a home with other dogs as he is truly a very social and outgoing dog! He loves to be with his humans or a canine companions at all times. He will lay on the couch with you and snuggle, and is always happy to be at your side.  He does not present any trust issues, but currently he doesn't want to be apart from foster mom when shes home. When he goes outside, he loves to be with his foster sibling and will play until he has had his fill. He does take corrections very well, and is super trainable and wanting to please. He has mastered sit - and he would do really well in a puppy training class.   He sleeps in a dog bed next to foster bed, always sleeping near his foster buddies with a natural Collie "pack mentality."

Prince Harry's favorite humans are children of all ages. He is gentle with them and loves to give them kisses while waking them up for school. He would be an absolutely wonderful family companion!

Prince Harry is currently working on leash training with the foster. He feels most comfortable running around a fenced in yard. On a leash, he does get a little anxious as it seems he is experiencing some sensory input overload. He doesn't love cars driving on the street around him, but does very well in the car. He is crate-trained, and is currently crated during the day (about 6 hrs) until someone arrives home from work or school without any signs of anxiety or restlessness.

Prince Harry is always carrying his favorite toy, which is so super cute! It's like his comfort blanket. Another cute trait of Prince Harry is that he will always be under-foot when your moving around the house - so be mindful! As a herding breed, it is in his nature to follow behind you and move you to where he wants you to go with his snout. His face is very expressive, and he really can communicate to you with just his eyes. He isn't a big barker, but will certainly communicate with his siblings. He is kind of like Lassie! So neat!

Please consider adding this handsome boy to your family!
