Nadia is an owner surrender. Although deeply loved for years, her owner is elderly and can no longer care for her in the way Nadia deserves. From her owner:
"Hi everyone - I have to find Nadia a new home for a lot of reasons: she's lonely and needs attention. She needs a good family that will play with her and take her for walks. I'm afraid I can't do those things for her. You all know how wonderful she is!!!! This is a hard decision. But a good one unfortunately ❤️ She's 3/4 years old with all her shots. She's fun, loving, affectionate! ❤️❤️"
Before being adopted, Nadia was physically abused, and has a scar by her eye as a result (her vision is fine). It's a horrible thing to hear, but Nadia, like many other dogs, was able to rise above and keep her good-natured and loving personality. Her resilience is exceptional, you would never guess...
Nadia is a very gentle soul, wonderful with kids from 1 month to 18 years. She comes from a big Italian family with lots of noise, children, food and general chaos, and she's always well-behaved, good-natured and a pleasure to be around. She adores her people, and just wants to nestle in with you and get pets and attention. She loves having a companion to hang with and get snuggles and cuddles. She's playful, loves to gnaw her bones, and loves treats. She is leash-trained and walks well, with only a bit of occasional pulling. She's great in the car too! When company comes she'll be right there, nudging you out of the way to meet the new playmate (everyone is a potential playmate!) and wags and wiggles until she can get to you and nestle in. She's so adorable! She's the ultimate Wigglebutt!
Nadia could be a great hiking and jogging buddy, but inside she is calm and affectionate. An active family or a family/couple that has more time to spend with her would be ideal. She thrives on her people's attention, so really anyone with time and a big heart is the perfect match for this girl.
