Meet Luna! Pulled at the very last possible minute from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky, Luna is a super-gentle super-sweet super-loving female Shepherd mix. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Luna is fully housebroken and non-destructive in the house. She is not a fan of the crate, but would rather just be allowed to chill quietly in your home. She is excellent on leash and enjoys walks to get her exercise. She would be best in a home that gives her ample opportunities to stretch her legs and get her energy out!
Her absolute favorite toys are chewables - such as deer antlers or Nyla bones. They will keep her happy and satisfied for hours. She leans toward the shy side, and prefers to be approached slowly and gently. When she meets new people, she tends to be a little cautious, specifically around men. Not in an aggressive way at all, just cautious. She is exuberant with women, and just needs a little reassurance to know that men are safe and friendly. We just never know what these shelter dogs have been thru, do we?
A super-sweet trait that Luna demonstrates is "hand-holding." She loves to place her paw in her foster's hand at nighttime, often sleeping between her foster, her pillow, and their headboard. She's a big mushy lovable dog who sees herself as little lovey lapdog! She loves her foster mom and always wants to be with her at all times. She also enjoys time with the resident dog in the foster home and has demonstrated significant trust and loyalty to the pup she is spending time with. She enjoys a good romp in the yard with her resident brother and will thrive in a home with another dog.
As stated previously, she is UTD on vaccinations, is spayed, and vibrant! She legitimately smiles for you when she sees you! She is currently in training in her foster home and would benefit from a forever home that is ready to work with her so she can live her best life! Will that be with you?
