Kelly was part of a litter that was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. The entire litter would have been euthanized so we saved the day and brought them north to have a new lease on life! <p>
3 words to describe Kelly? Sweet, lovable, rambunctious. In that order ;). She’s very affectionate, loves to be pet and to lick your face. If you’re one of the chosen, she may nibble you a little in a tickly way. She has typical puppy energy – high - and has to investigate everything! Her favorite pastimes are playing with the foster's dogs, playing with toys, and watching Dog TV - she often sits there with a tilted head watching. I wonder what she’s thinking about? <p>
At night she is crated with rolled up towel "pillows" that tuck her in. She’s used to the crate and she does well, but is still using wee wee pads about 85% when she is out. House training is a work in progress, and will need to be continued by her forever adopters. <p>
She doesn’t like the leash and tries to bite it, but is getting used to it more each day. She’s great in the car, as long as she can copilot. She IS a puppy, so teething comes with the package, and she’s all there, so she does need you to keep an eye on her when she’s out and about. When she gets caught, she hides under the table and looks at you with those “I’m just a puppy” eyes….. <p>
Kelly is a sweet, funny, healthy girl who is affectionate and loving. She loves laps and likes to squeeze in behind you on the sofa - she likes the contact. She'll do best in an active house with people, and maybe other animals she can play with.<p>
