Zuri and his sister Kahlua were 2 of 4 dogs Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch was able to rescue on a recent trip to Aruba. I was there, and can tell you first hand, these dogs were EXCEPTIONALLY well behaved and were the hit of the plane! SO completely mellow, never barked, always looking for pets and snuggles, open to anything. I have never seen puppies so young be so accepting and calm.
Zuri is VERY friendly, loves to give and get kisses, and is crate-trained, wee wee pad trained, and working on house training. His coat is soft as silk, and those doe eyes take you in. He’s not destructive around the house at all, and is safe to leave in the house. He is crated to sleep at night though, to signal it's time for bed and to wind down. He likes his crate, and retreats to it during the day as well at times - it's his safe spot for quiet time. He shadows you around the house to see what's going on next, and is always very affectionate. He wants to be a lap dog, and will stand next to you with his head in your lap, since he is growing and doesn’t always fit! He is very calm for a puppy, very relaxed with a terrific temperament. He has no aggression, and no food aggression at all. He IS food motivated though, so foster is finding him easy to train.
Zuri really loves to be outside and walks well on a leash - he hardly pulls, even in loud situations. When visitors come, he will run up to you for kisses and pets. Foster has other dogs and he does howl with them and fits right in. He seems to have no prey drive, so that’s a yes for cats.
Zuri is low maintenance and an absolute delight - he's so happy to see you when you come home, and so happy just to be with you. His best next family? Really could be any home, but he will thrive with a brother or sister, and loves the attention of kids. Come meet him - the description just doesn't do him justice!!
