I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Jumper

We're happy to tell you that Jumper has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

(*NOTE* We don't know why he came to us with the name Jumper, but he doesn't jump more than any other pup, so as an adopter you will have the honor of changing that terrible name!)

We rescued Jumper from an AL kill shelter with his brother Romper (also available for adoption) and brought them north for a better chance of a forever home.

We love Jumper!!    He’s a very pretty boy with long blonde eyelashes that are people comment on - he looks like a fawn.  He’s really a great combination of puppy exuberance and chill mellow dog, which makes him a great first dog or someone who wants to experience a puppy but still getting all the snuggles and affection.  Jumper understands that zoomy behaviors in the yard are different from house behavior, and is pretty smart and mature for a pup!

Jumper loves his foster brother, and they play together and snuggle, understanding boundaries and giving space when needed.  He is ok with cats as well - curious but not seeking fosters’ cat out as prey.

Jumper is super affectionate with his people and sweet as well - he waits in line when foster pets her dog first, and loves the attention and cuddles.  He even puts his head on your knee to initiate hugs and snuggles - it’s really adorable.

Jumper likes his chew bones but LOVES his stuffies, and carries them around everywhere, bringing them outside to get fresh air etc. :). He likes to run in fosters’ fenced-in yard with his foster bro, and roll around on the ground.  He's super happy alone or with company, and plays by himself beautifully.

He sleeps in the crate at night, which is not his favorite thing, but he is doing very well and settles in quickly.  Foster has said that he has woken up in the night and will call you if he needs to go out and do his business, which is huge.   In the day, he's learning to ring a bell on the back door to go out.  Leash training is his next step - he's ok now, but a bit of a zig-zagger in order to check out everything, but he's very smart and is coming along nicely.  When company comes, he gets right in the mix, eager to make a new friend.

Jumper will fit in beautifully in most any forever home.  A companion dog for him would be a nice to have but not required, and as noted above, a first pet family would be great for him, or anyone who has lots of love and some quality time for this terrific pup.
