Jett came from a Texas kill shelter with his brother Scout (also up for adoption). We transported them north for a better shot at life. He's a VERY handsome Lab/Aussie mix - we love his little round bum and short little tail :). <p>
Jett loves his people and is a hard bonder. He follows his foster around the house, and is happy just to be around her. He was initially kind of timid, but is coming out of his shell. He gets along with everyone, and tries to play with his foster sibling, but he is older and not that interested. He's even tried to engage their cat, but not much fun there.... He loves his chew toys but is less interested in fetch, etc. <p>
He's such an agreeable guy - foster can pretty much do anything to him and he's fine with it. For ex, she had a question on his teeth, and Jett lets her put her whole hand in his mouth and couldn't care less! He has complete trust, which is very sweet considering he probably hasn't been around nice people all the time. He's still a bit timid on the leash, but gets more confident daily. He's a great protector, and will position himself between foster and the door, and puts himself between foster mom and anything unknown. He seems to gravitate to women more quickly, but has NO aggression and warms up to everyone. He is crate-trained and goes in at night with out issue. He knows No and Inside, and is really smart - learning quickly. <p>
Jett is a great combination of mellow and calm, and playful puppy. He needs a calm home where someone is around or he gets anxious and unsure. He will outgrow this once he feels no one is leaving him for good. A playmate would be great for Jett to give him confidence and to have a buddy around. <p>
