Beautiful Evy was found abandoned in the streets in East Orange NJ with no leash or collar. Our wonderful foster stopped the car for her and she jumped right in - she knew she needed help. After animal control released her, our hero came back and got her - safe!!! What a great story.
Evy is no wallflower - she loves to meet new people and is super affectionate and social! She alternates between wanting to snuggle and wanting to play. She has her energy spurts and zoomies, but is not really a high energy dog. After a long walk, she's generally as pooped as the foster;). She loves fetch, tug of war and rawhide, and likes her stuffies by her side. She's familiar with the leash, and it's a work in progress. In the car, she's just fine with her doggy seatbelt. She's quite smart and has learned basic commands very quickly. She barks some, as beagle do, but it's not excessive.
When new people come she will get excited, come up and present for cuddles and pets. Her favorite thing is to be with her people. When she's tired, she wraps herself in blankets and snuggles in, sometimes suckling it like a pacifier - it's really cute (see pic). She's not crate trained, but doesn't need it - she is not aggressive and not destructive at all.
Evy's best case forever home is with people who are home often and can give her exercise and tons of affection - she's a lover!!! Great with kids so no issues there. Evy is a terrific dog and will add so much love to any household!
