This sweet little boy was found on the streets foraging for food. No one had stepped up to claim him, no missing reports at local police stations, shelters, local vet's. No microchip. We believe he is a young adult but not certain yet. That’s all we know for now, but he’s just arrived and we’ll know more soon! One thing we're sure of right now, he is one handsome boy!!
Chico is a lover boy who lives for love! Super friendly and affectionate, he loves to snuggle and will impose himself on your lap, and he's in doggy heaven. He wraps his paws around your hands if he wants to be pet, and wrap his whole body around your arm to "motivate" you. He does like toys too, and is not territorial. Foster has a big basket of toys, and he loves to jump in and bury himself and hang with them:). When company comes he will bark, but will come over and dance around you, and he'll be in your lap within 2 minutes!!
He doesn't really have too much interest in other dogs when he meets them - it's all about YOU! He does fine on walks, and follows the other dogs, but he's mostly a home body. He has never shown hostility or aggression with food or toys , and grazes on his food. Chico's perfect home will include tons of affection and someone home a lot. Other passive dogs would be good but he gets jealous when someone else gets the spotlight for too long. An active home is great - he loves the company. He can be in an apt dog, as he doesn't bark too much.
