This very special boy pulled 4 years ago from AHS Newark in need of new Foster2Adopt or Forever Family.
Chester and that ridiculous underbite of his!!! He is a comedy show all unto himself. Actually irresistible! His before grooming and after grooming revealed a new dog!!! (See the picture that looks like a blob of white fur!) And afterwards he perked up and couldn't stop smiling!
Something happened to this sweet boy years ago before landing at a high-kill shelter here in Jersey. He wants to touch you. He wants to snuggle up to you.
He's uneasy. If you startle him while he's sleeping it will scare him. Once he's alert, he'll calm back down. Dogs get PTSD just like we do. Somebody somewhere did him wrong.
But we are determined to do him right. He loves long walks. Loves the outdoors. Has a love/hate relationship with some dogs, yet loves other dogs deeply.
I'm like that with people ?
