We pulled gentle Boomer from a high kill in KY, where he would have been in jeopardy. This sweet boy deserved a second chance at life, and here he is! SUCH a sweetheart!

Boomer is a 91 lb lab mix who is SO loving and gentle, and loves to be pet and hugged. Everyone who sees him on his walks comes over a pet him when they see how gentle he is! He's is a chill dog who is not high energy - his very favorite activity is laying on the couch with you (or ON you!) to get snuggles and pets. He lives for love, and probably wishes he could fit in your pocket and be with you all day. He's not needy, just a lap dog at heart!
Boomer loves his walks and meeting new people. He's good on a leash and rarely pulls, and foster is continuing his leash training. He loves to run around the yard with a stuffie in his mouth, and loves playing and running with foster's other dog. And he is very dog friendly, regardless of the other dog's size. He's great in the car, and loves the adventure. This is a dog who would love to go anywhere and everywhere with you, and his behavior allows it! Boomer has been to many kids' sporting events and is the life of the party as everyone wants to meet and pet him! Boomer knows the sit command but is eager to learn more (he loves treats and is gentle eating from your hand). Plus, Boomer is neutered, vaccinated, housebroken and crate-trained. Despite his size, this is a mellow guy who is anxious to please and adores his family. When someone visits fosters' home, he does NOT bark, but will go and greet them like a gentleman. He's looking for cuddles and pets, but doesn't lick and he DOES NOT jump.
Boomer is an easy dog, and would be a great first dog. He is not a high energy dog and doesn't need tremendous activity, but he does need love and attention. He's really great with just about anyone, and is easy going and easily contented. He'll be a terrific dog for hikes, and a companion anywhere dogs are allowed, and is always gentle and well behaved.
