Bella the 12-year old Rotti was abandoned - tied to a tree behind a vet's office. We are looking for a kind-hearted soul to give Bella a beautiful twilight. She doesn't likely have a lot of time left, but what she needs most is love.
Bella is a very sweet and super friendly mush. She likes to lay on the floor near you (likes the cool tile), and loves head and belly rubs, or any kind of affection really. When a stranger comes in, she is very calm and doesn't bark. She has some periodontal disease at the moment, so doesn't do much with toys, but sometimes she gets an energy burst and will play gentle tug of war and throw in the air. She lays down to eat and drink, and is OK in the car. She has limitations but she gets around them and does just fine.
Bella loves to walk and be outside, and she could sit all day watching the yard activity. She loves meeting new pup friends, and although she doesn’t bark much, she’ll bark to say hello. She had weak back legs but foster has walked her quite a bit regularly and she is stronger and can go further now, and is better on limited stairs. She doesn't bark too much, but barks at other dogs passing by to say hello. She hasn't been introduced to any cats just yet though, so she should be introduced in a supervised meet.
Bella needs a gentle calm home with lots of love, attention and extra care. She mostly needs time and patience but is mentally sharp. She needs a fenced-in yard, and although she really likes children, they must behave appropriately gently with this lovable 12 year old.
