Little Milo was part of a litter that was dumped by their owner down in KY - one look at those little faces and we knew they needed to come north - and they're hereeee!!

Milo is a bit of a special dog - most puppies his age (3 months) are adorable but insane little balls of energy bouncing off the walls with naps thrown in as intermissions. Milo is different - he IS curious and bouncy and playful, but he's a more mellow version, especially indoors. When he first arrived, Milo was timid, unsure of himself and found things like stairs, doorways and leashes strange and a little scary. Now he's been around a week or two and is learning the ropes from his foster and their 2 dogs, and is doing so well! With lots of encouragement and verbal reinforcement, he's much more confident on the leash and handles the stairs like a pro! He's calm inside, but if you say "no", he gets it and will stop immediately. He's very in tune with pleasing his fosters, and is VERY smart, learning new commands every day. He knows his name, No, and Sit so far. He's about 85% housebroken right now, which is good for such a baby, but foster says the times he doesn't make it out are really more her fault than his - if he's taken out every couple of hours there would be no accidents. He's completely crate trained - sleeps there at night in their BR. In the daytime he's crated when no one is home, and settles in as long as he's in the LR with the other dogs.

Milo is a very loving dog who will bound across the room to be with you if you sit on the floor to play! Foster says he will absolutely melt into your neck when you pet him. He likes to follow foster around the house, but is not overbearing and amuses himself well. He loves his rope toys, squeaky toys and balls. He was confused with the leash at first, but watched the other dogs, and learned what's expected - he goes with the flow....

Milo is a wonderful dog - we were even musing that one day he would be an excellent Service dog - He's calm and agreeable, major league adorable and fun to watch and be around. He loves attention but is not a velcro dog. and, of course, fully vetted and up to date on vaccinations, neutered and completely healthy. He will fare better with another dog but it's a nice to have - he'll do fine either way. He needs verbal encouragement and confidence and other dogs show him the way, but fosters can do that too. We think he's probably good with a cat being such an agreeable boy, but should be tested. He would thrive with an active family, or really any ages and activity level. He's the kind of dog you can take to the ball game or the park - that's his temperament. Come meet Milo while you can!!
