Amelia is a Amish Country girlie looking for a forever home to embrace her affectionate nature and playfulness!
Since Amelia came from Amish Country - she is learning how to settle into the "house pet" lifestyle. She is a little afraid of being on leash, as she never experienced it previously. She is being introduced to it slowly and so far is learning to trust that it's a safer way to be out in the world beyond her foster's backyard. She is receptive to treats and is very trainable.
Amelia is very used to being crated, and sleeps like a baby in her crate every night. She enjoys chewy toys and balls for playtime - and this girlie has energy to expend and will even hop around a bit when running around outside. She eats dry kibble twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening.
Amelia is very affectionate and loves cuddles and scritches on her head. She is also very social with new folks, and greets anyone and everyone who enters the home! On a calm and quiet Sunday afternoon, you will find Amelia holding her chewy toy in her mouth, curled up on the couch next to you. When she gets the chance to let her energy out, she will romp around your yard and play fetch with a ball. She would benefit from having another dog around, as she needs a role model to learn how to "house pet"!
