Yet another family pet abandoned in an apartment building in East Orange. WTH is wrong with these people!!!
They moved out. Left him behind in the hallway, roaming the floor alone. No food, no water, not even a blanket to lay down on. Nothing.
This dog is sooooooo friendly and sweet!!!!! We had to help him!!!!
The Super found him, he was starving. Fed him, gave him water and a bed and is holding him in the basement temporarily until we can find a kind-hearted family to step forward to foster.
The Owner of the building wants him OUT. <p>
*UPDATE* We have discovered this smushy-face chunk is crate-trained, housebroken, leash- trained and loves EVERYONE! He is overweight and not only was he locked in a basement without food or water and left to die, but his ears are freshly mutilated and still bleeding.
Despite all the ways humans have let him down he STILL greets you with tail wags and kisses!! (We at the Rescue are fighting over who gets to spend time with Gentle Rocco - we call him the Meatball of Love? )
He would be best suited in a home without a larger dominant male dog. Submissive female is perfectly wonderful.
Please help? We NEED a Foster. All medical, Vaccines, whatever is needed will be provided. All food, you name it.
