I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Tabitha

I'm Available

Tabitha was just pulled from the Trenton animal shelter. She’s a 30 lbs white terrier mix, playful and full of personality. Dog and kid friendly, and would do well in a home with a playmate!  She has been adjusting to life in her foster home, and we are really excited to tell you all about her!

Tabitha has made great progress with being housebroken, and will relieve herself outside as long as she is taken out on a regular schedule. She has been working on crate training with her foster, and although she doesn't exactly go in on her own willingly, she will go in when guided by her foster. Tabitha is very excited for going on walks, and will happily let you put on the leash. She is still learning appropriate leash etiquette, as she will pull a bit when she sees a squirrel friend in the wild! For her playtime interests, she loves ALL of the toys! Especially if another dog is playing with one :) but she will play tug of war with other dogs, she doesn’t get fresh or protective about it at all. She gets the zoomies and comes running into the room like a bulldozer at times, so be prepared for this bundle of cuteness!

Tabitha is approachable and excited to meet new people. She barked at first when her foster dad came into the house to meet her, but in a hello way, not a nervous way. She wants to immediately play with whoever comes in - a dog walker, older children, or just someone new to make acquaintances with! Additionally, she loves to cuddle up right next to you on the couch. She will follow you around and look up at you lovingly. She’s very sweet and listens well. She’ll lay on the floor next to you instead of a comfy dog bed if it means she can be closer to her favorite humans. When she is hanging around with her foster family on a relaxing Sunday afternoon you will find Tabitha playing with the other dogs or laying next to them after a nice walk. She has a lot of energy but chills when it's time to relax. BONUS: she likes to be pet and will give kisses.

A special note from her foster: "She doesn’t bark much, only when she sees someone out the window (like our landscapers or that darn mailman!). She is always down for playtime or a walk. She likes to roll around on the couch in blankets. She also gives kisses to other dogs, my pup was laying by her and she was licking his head. Overall, she is very loving and sweet and will become a great part of the family."
