Lupita is a Chi/pittie mix that came to our rescue from local litter of 9! Her and her siblings are settling into the foster home life, and she is ready to find her forever home! Upon entering our rescue, her and her siblings were estimated to be about 8 weeks old, and are getting all the love and care they need to settle into a happily ever after! Lupita is characterized by her foster as a quiet, smart, loving girl that is a fast learner and a lover of all the people and pups that she meets.
Housebreaking is going well for Lupita as long as she is kept on a schedule. She also will go on a wee-wee pads inside the foster home. She likes to keep her bathroom breaks to familiar places, so consistency is key for future success. Lupita is also crate trained and understands the command "go in" from her foster mom. She sleeps peacefully in her crate all night without accidents, and will even choose to nap in her crate throughout the day. On leash, Lupita is learning how to walk along side her foster and will pull occasionally, but when she's walking with her pack she does great!
Lupita is ultra playful and loves to engage with chew toys! She loves her stuffed bunny and tennis balls! She runs and jumps when she is in play mode, and with the pack she plays for long periods of time and then will sleep peacefully with her dog friends. Lupita is very outgoing and social, so she loves to make new friends with anyone she meets! She is a cuddly girl and wants to be loved on any chance she gets.
Lupita is not yet spayed, but is UTD on vaccinations. The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, she is eligible to be spayed for just $20 with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make the appt! Our local vet participates, and you may just find yours does too!
