I'm ready for my new family!

This adorable Chi/Pittie puppy named Gilbert is from a local litter of 9! They were living outdoors in a backyard, and needed to be brought to safety. He and his siblings entered our rescue at 8 weeks old, and are getting ready to find their forever homes!

Gilbert is settling into foster living life, and is currently working on housebreaking. He is, however, crate trained and is able to relax and be on his own while crated. He walks well on the leash, but is easily distracted by leaves, grass blowing, and flying spicy jellybeans - aka bees!

When it comes to playtime, Gilbert loves paper and anything he can find that krinkles! He also likes stuffed toys and has super cute playful puppy energy! When meeting new folks, Gilbert is a curious boy and will approach to get to know a new friend. He has a cat buddy in foster that he loves to do the ZOOMIES around the house with - so he would do well in a home with a playful cat sibling. When he is done zooming and playing, he crashes for a nap, and then he is ready to romp around again!

Gilbert is not yet neutered, but is UTD on vaccinations. The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, he is eligible to be neutered for just $20 with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make the neuter appt!  Our local vet participates, and you may just find yours does too!
