Huckleberry came into foster as a super young bottle-baby from the Passaic Animal Shelter with a sibling that did not make it... but she is ready to thrive and survive! She is super vocal, playful, and ready to bring joy into your life. She is available for pre-adoption.
Huckleberry is making great progress in foster with litterbox training, her foster reporting that she uses it with about 90% accuracy. She is a clever girl and will have it down before she moves onto a forever home for sure! Huckleberry currently enjoys Fancy feast wet food- 1/2 can twice a day, and she also does free feed meow mix dry food and of course always has fresh water. She enjoys running through his crinkle tunnels during playtime, and will pop her head out of the little portholes as she goes!
When it comes to meeting new people, she just LOVES everyone! Lots of purring when picked up - goes right to strangers and family alike. She also will immediately climb onto her foster mom's lap if she sits on the floor. This little one loves to be loved! While she does still have her kitten energy and needs ample playtime, she is also content to snuggle with your for long periods of time. She especially enjoys napping with her foster siblings in a kitten pile after a play session - SO CUTE!
A note from her foster: "This kitten is very sweet. I think she would benefit from being in a household with another kitten or adult cat. Not necessary- but I think she’d enjoy the company!"
Huckleberry is not yet spayed, but is UTD on vaccinations. The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, he is eligible to be neutered for just $20 with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make the neuter appt! Our local vet participates, and you may just find yours does too!
