I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Charlotte

We're happy to tell you that Charlotte has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Charlotte is a beautiful, purebred, tri-color Collie that was used for breeding for the first 3 years of her life. She is now safe in our rescue to live out the rest of her years as a house pet. We just need to find her a home with someone who is around a lot to make her feel safe and comfortable.

Charlotte is house broken, but is not interested in the crate at all. She is so well behaved that the crate isn't needed. She will walk on leash with ease, but will also walk by your side without the leash like her herding breed will usually do. She is loyal and loving! Treats are well loved, so she is treat motivated and will respond to them as positive reinforcement.

On a lazy Sunday afternoon, if the foster family is on the couch, she will be right there with them. If canine foster brother wants to go out, she is always willing to join him. The human foster siblings will go out to play with her and she LOVES it up! She is reluctant to meet new people, and will bark a bit to show her fear and will move in circles. She is an amazing dog, and once she warms up, she is so wonderful! If she is a little afraid or curious, she will find her human foster mom or dad and stay by them to feel safe. She can do small amounts of steps (2 at a time) but cannot climb a flight a stairs. At night, since she cannot get upstairs, she sleeps on the first floor on the couch with her human foster brother (he goes to sleep there so she's not alone ?).

Charlotte is just starting to learn how to be a pet. She has just fallen in love with belly rubs - and she will now paw for more pets. She will also go nose-to-nose to give kisses, which is a big accomplishment.  When it comes to toys, she doesn't show much interest, but perhaps with time and modeling, she will learn how to use them. She likes the chewer bones and has learned how to use them from her canine foster brother - so sweet!

UTD on vaccinations, healthy, and happy.
