I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Millie

We're happy to tell you that Millie has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Millie came to our rescue in New Jersey on transport from Kentucky.  She was clearly in a home before coming into foster because she understands how the house works - she knows to go to the door to go in and out! She is spayed and UTD on shots.

Her temperament is wonderful - she has a sweet smile and SO beautiful!! She understands "sit" and "treat" - she is very smart and very trainable. She is excellent on leash, but will benefit from some reinforcement for when she catches a scent. She is not reactive to any dogs that are nearby and barking or fussing.

Millie loves to run around with the resident dog, She enjoys toys and will play hard and then crash out. She is  completely housebroken and accident free. She is comfortable with being gated in the foster's house while the foster is home, but is crated at night or when home alone. Overnight in the crate is a non-issue. She will go in her crate and go to bed because she knows her bed time!

She loves rope toys and chew toys - and loves to carry a ball around in her mouth with pride. She has a healthy appetite and displays no stress when eating. She doesn't do any resource guarding - she is okay with food and toys being taken away by the foster. She is mainly eating dry food and LOVES it!! She is not a picky eater in the slightest.

She enjoys being a part of what is going on and she loves to hang out with her people. She will entertain herself and will nap when she feels like it. She isn't always underfoot, but likes to be around the action. She does make sure the situation is safe before she approaches, and she decides when she wants to be with you but won't smother you with the need for attention. Just a give her a few minutes with new people, and she will certainly come around.
