Ellie came to us from a high kill shelter in Georgia. This puppy would not have made it there, so we transported her north for a second chance at life!<p>
This little sweetie pie is pretty mellow on the puppy scale - she’s active and playful, but also calm and gentle. She takes her time on walks and this social butterfly greets every stranger in her path. When someone comes over she does the same - a wiggly, cuddly welcome committee! Ellie is not a barker, and loves to play with foster’s other, bigger dog. <p>
We think it would be fair to say she’s 100% potty trained. She only had one accident with foster, and holds it through the night. Fosters take him out every 2 hours or so while training, and she understands outside is for potty. She’s no problem walking on the leash and is comfortable with both her collar and a harness.
She’s been sleeping and eating in her crate. She does cry from time to time but at night goes to sleep beautifully so we think she’ll get even better with it over time. She doesn’t really care about cats, one way or the other - she met both of foster’s mom’s kitties and was fine with them. She’s also been great with foster’s mom’s two big dogs! She loves her toys, and jumps from one to another playing.
Ellie is pretty low maintenance and will do well anywhere . Another dog would be nice to have, but she entertains herself beautifully. She’s very good with kids as well. <p>
